lemming741@lemmy.world 4 days agoThats a metal oxide varistor. It conducts above 330v and hopefully trips the breaker to protect whatever is plugged in.

Yeah, youre right - its a surge protecting varistor. Dont know where I got the capacitor from - but, oh well.
