The fact that they just did the most blatantly user-hostile thing, when they are in the spotlight suggests;

1. They don’t give a shit about being evil
2. They are tone deaf about being evil
3. They are critically desperate to implement these user-hostile actions; enough to run the goodwill into the toilet, just to keep afloat!
