Those of you down voting, I would be curious to hear why?
Lots of people on Lemmy will automatically downvote anything that’s about Trump that isn’t immediately negative. Often times without even reading it.
And many do the same with my username. So the double-whammy effect results in a fair amount of downvotes. lol
Or perhaps it’s actually because you pretty much only post in communities literally titled ‘Conservative’ and ‘Trumps Truth’. This combined with all the non-critical posts about our current political clown-fest, the only logical conclusion anyone can draw is that you fully support the orange Cunt and have thus earned the ire of Lemmy
So because of my supposed support of someone on the opposite side of the political aisle as you, that “earns” the ire of Lemmy?
So do you want Lemmy to be an echo-chamber and only like what you like? You don’t support diversity of opinions and thought?
And actually I’m a socialist. I didn’t vote for Trump.

I personally cant give any less of flying fuck what your political beliefs are, and diverse opinions are the thing that makes human beings interesting to me. I have earned the same ire many a time by letting my own ideologies seep into my words, it doesn’t take much to ruffle a couple hive-mind feathers.
I’m simply pointing out that, from the platforms perspective, considering all the evidence that the rest of us actually get to see from you, there really aren’t any other reasonable conclusions to make about you. If you want people to treat the ‘you’ that you put on the internet with nuance, then you need to provide the internet with nuance to work with, especially in the echo chambers of social media. It’s not that people don’t read, it’s that what they read doesn’t fit their preconceived narrative and the easiest solution is to downvote.

This post isn’t immediately negative about trump and actually makes him look like a reasonable president using political pressure to achieve reasonable things that he promised during the election.
Op has been the subject of multiple posts by some guy trying to get them instance banned across the entire fediverse. The guv claimed op was a fascist cos he has conservative values and that he harassed people in private messages (I am yet to see evidence of this other than this been quoted as a reason in the modlog).
So the average left wing Lemmy bandwagon enjoyer sees either of these things and automatically hits the downvote button without any critical thought whatsoever.
