Comment on Misogyny identified as breeding ground for extremism in UK, says leaked report

This is the first time I’ve heard of Hindu extremism in the UK. As far as religions go they tend to fly under the radar a bit.

I was friends with a number of Hindus at university many moons ago. We always got on well but then they’d boast about going out and smashing up the cars of white people. All very odd. I suspect the problem now is, with the rise of Modi, there’s a lot Hindu nationalism and anti-Mualim sentiment. The report seems to especially focus on the Hindu-Muslim clashes in Leicester.
Home country politics playing out here isn’t exactly new - here in Liverpool we had a branch of the Ulster Volunteer Force and I’ve had (distant) family members in the IRA. The Orange marches still cause tension - I had a friend whose granny always took him down so he could turn his back on them (which I am sure he could.have done from the comfort of his own home).
