Comment on In US, teleworkers don't want to turn back

My old office was 90s as hell with big beige cubicles and ceiling tiles. My desk was outside of my boss’s office. It was 35 minutes away and I went in almost every day even though WFH was an option
Then we moved to a fancy new open office with half height glass walls. It’s 10 minutes away and they’re lucky if they see me twice a week now.
I don’t want to hear every conversation in the office. I work better, faster, and with fewer breaks when it’s quiet. I have to use push-to-talk in meetings.
