Something about this felt really hollow, like all they did was put every high school shoujo romance in a blender. I’ve seen people comparing this to Kimi Ni Todoke, Skip and Loafer, and Horimiya, but all of those felt like stories that the author wanted to specifically tell, whereas something about this just feels like it’s meant to fill some empty space in the shoujo magazine. Maybe it’s just a slow start or maybe something got lost in adaptation, but whatever it is I just couldn’t really connect with this story. I give the premiere a 2/5.
