It doesn’t specify the state. Only us server #. I guess I could look it up, but I just changed server.

Sounds like a shit VPN to me. I can select a region (US East) or individual states with PIA and basically the same with Surfshark.

I can select one of 100 servers . I could check geoip.

At least the desktop app of proton shows you the state or even city where the server is located. For Germany I can even choose between Frankfurt and Berlin for example. I know that for us servers I was able to specifically choose New York.
