IDK it annoys me when i get duplicated content on my lemmy feed cause it was posted to several communities i follow.
Not that it’s wrong or anything, would just rather avoid it myself due to personal internet etiquette beliefs.

If you see them duplicated that means that a person did not crosspost but just posted it multiple times.
