    From the article, it isn’t just banning the sale of iPhone 16, but also make iPhone sold to customer non operational. I don’t know how they manage to do it, but that is ridiculous. Customer shouldn’t be punished because Apple didn’t fulfill it’s commitment.

      I could not find such a claim in the article. The only technical information is about issuing IMEIs, the rest is about legality.

  Wouldn’t do that much harm to Apple. All it would do is break people’s devices without their consent. Not to mention all that e-waste.

    There is no mention of anyone breaking phones. It doesn’t even make sense on a technical level. Where the hell is this claim coming from?
