Wouldn’t do that much harm to Apple. All it would do is break people’s devices without their consent. Not to mention all that e-waste.

From the article, it isn’t just banning the sale of iPhone 16, but also make iPhone sold to customer non operational. I don’t know how they manage to do it, but that is ridiculous. Customer shouldn’t be punished because Apple didn’t fulfill it’s commitment.

I could not find such a claim in the article. The only technical information is about issuing IMEIs, the rest is about legality.
