It’s like removing a laugh track from an old sitcom.
It’s better, because here the underlying pacing isn’t left ruined after the removal.
Removing the laugh track leaves behind (hilariously) awkward gaps.
Actually kinda funny though
Also, depending on your definition of ‘old,’ that laugh track might be a live studio audience rather than canned laughter.
