In Summary: * “Congratulations on winning the 1st place in the mini-tournament: for jane,” was the message waiting for me when I checked into one of my CC clubs today. That was a nice surprise. There were 11 of us of roughly equal strength playing in the “for jane” mini-tournament which started on 10 Jan. of this year and ended yesterday. We were playing with a comfortable time control of 9 days allowed per move.
I was almost as happy at that as I was when the a/c in this trailer was fixed this morning at ~11:00. Almost. The tech guy who fixed it said that they like to keep the units here running year round at a “normal” temperature of 70 degrees. I think can live with that quite happily. We'll see how my energy bill likes it.
Now I've got meds to take, prayers to do, and a college football game to listen to, and an early bedtime after that.
