   @Gargron Well, I guess it helps that both Eurosky (which started as one giant GDPR violation and only decided to become 'european' after failing to raise millions for their global platform) and W-Social have a shocking amount of vocal support from a number of politicians that should stay far away from this.

   It pains me especially to see members of the European Greens shill for them.

    @Gargron@mastodon.social Mastodon and the Wider Fediverse deserve so much better. We are here trying to make safe spaces for people that are maintained, moderated and removing the terrible systems of data collection and feeds that push terrible harmful content.
    
    The @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu along with the UK Government seem to be laughing in our faces as they Ban, Restrict and Redirect people to 'alternatives' that are just controlled by another power hungry group. Instead of showing solutions like the Fediverse they restrict people to show us what they want us to see and do.
