   @kratzen @beyondmachines1 The first time I read The Hobbit, I finished in the evening, then realized I hadn’t yet had anything to eat or drink that day. I didn’t learn what had happened until years later, when I first heard about hyperfocus.

   This product may seem unnecessary to you, but I promise you there are people whose brains don’t work like yours. Some appreciate machines reminding them to do things like drink some water, or stand up and stretch, or text their partner.

   It sucks that companies take advantage of this to surveil such people.
