if you could simulate a brain but the simulation was both discontinuous (i.e. it "jumped" to discrete snapshots based on hypothetical accurate mathematical predictions of physics rather then smoothly simulating all possible in-between moments) and really really slow (say one hour to produce a series of snapshots equivalent to one simulated second, with equal gaps in between). do you think that the simulated brain would exhibit consciousness?
