1. a vital media literacy skill in 2026
2. completely impossible and slowly drives you insane to the point of inevitably making false accusations
This is a perfectly fine thing to be expecting of reasonable, intelligent people and doesn’t at all forebode a general crisis of trust in society

Step one was "Who is the author ?"
If I can't identify the author, I assign no credibility to any statements, summaries, entire documents. I can't even site it in an appendix or footnote supporting my own statements, because I don't know "who wrote that".
I believe your post here because I've decided I can identify the author as a person named Daphne, who created this post without help from a PR team or AI.
hyc@mastodon.social 1 day ago @dpk there's an upside to this: you can immediately disregard all nonconsensual porn as fake, with zero consequences to anyone's reputation. Completely eliminates an entire category of kompromat. Even if someone has genuine compromising photos of someone, it can be disregarded as fake and it'd be impossible for anyone to prove otherwise.
