I recently had a GEM Foil of a particle detector in the SEM. Images coming soon™
If you have cool stuff you want to be imaged with a electron microscope, please contact me. I would love to image more samples.
🔄 Boost is appreciated

@lwilde I'd like to take some pictures of used vs. unused injection needles, to see it we can see wear on them.
(I have already aquired the needles)
@lwilde would you have a way of reproducibly fixing a (small kitchen cutting) knife's edge, and running it repeatedly through a dishwasher - SEM cycle?
Everyone's always "can't put your sharp knives in the dishwasher, you'll blunt it, the edge has high surf. area!", but considering knifes are ubiquitous tools (also in machine tools), there's preciously little actual literature I could find to support either claim (significant dulling, relatedness to surface area).
@lwilde
What that weird metal that forms silver colour cubes in room temperature look like?
