I just finished watching Beastars. Here's my review:

★★★☆☆

The Good

It has everything. Forbidden romance, murder mysteries, incompetent cops, teenage angst, coming-of-age drama, a struggling theater club, family issues, societal pressures, black markets, vigilantes, supercops with questionable accountability, Wall Street magnates, corrupt politicians, street fights, a joker-like villain, chemical weapons, and anthropomorphic animals as a metaphor for something.

The Bad

It has everything. Forbidden romance, murder mysteries, incompetent cops, teenage angst, coming-of-age drama, a struggling theater club, family issues, societal pressures, black markets, vigilantes, supercops with questionable accountability, Wall Street magnates, corrupt politicians, street fights, a joker-like villain, chemical weapons, and anthropomorphic animals as a metaphor for something. To the point it dilutes everything else in the show.
