September to December 2023 By far the longest amount of time to finish an album, to date. May not sound like a lot, but for how fast I had been creating songs, this was a downright crawl. I was more contemplative about what I wanted to do with each song. I was also dealing with physical issues (pain, and later, being sick), which also slowed me down. I started shortening up the songs (most are four to six minutes) and thinking more deliberately about what I wanted to accomplish. Made for an interesting experience. Also, completing this album officially put me at over four hours of music written this year. I continue the trend of trying new things, including a few guitar-based songs, bringing back the saxophone, reviving a very old song and experimenting more with drums.
