May 2024 (with many songs started before that) to Sept. 2024 This album follows the trend of the last one, more time for each song, more melancholy and complexity. And for some reason, I used a significant amount of flute in it. My drum patterns used to be generated by vsts and I have no shame in that, but I’ve been trying to make more of my own.. I also recall using samples to construct my first song, and honestly, that’s OK (and I enjoy the song, still). There is still something satisfying about figuring it out on my own. That effort over the last year and a half has to further my skill at the various song parts is starting to show in my output (probably part of why it takes longer). I suppose I should also add that some of my favorite songs so far are from this most recent album. But honestly, that’s been the case with each album.
