This one is a combination of old and new songs. Started in September, 2024 and completed January, 2025. A lot of mixed feelings about this time frame. America and the poor outcome (to me) of the election, with plenty of worry about what the future would hold. My music remains what it is, sometimes reflecting what’s happening around me, sometimes not. In this album, I return to vocals (with the same daughter who helped on Melancholic Melody. I also revisited a several older songs that never got finished until now. Probably a running theme, honestly. Some, I finish quickly, while others require more time to gestate. There is a more melancholic feel to this album, to be sure. I also took some risk and tried something new a few times, leading to some interesting experiments. Still using guitar and flute in this album, but a lot of synth of varying types. Amid the moody and experimental are a few optimistic notes, if you listen.
