Jesse Ventura, former Governor of Minnesota and professional wrestler, was unafraid to show his contempt for former President Donald Trump. The former governor called him a ‘coward’ for failing to serve in the Vietnam war but claiming to be tactical as a U.S. General.

Ventura was talking with Hasan Piker on Sunday and confirmed his previous claims that Trump is a ‘fascist’. Ventura, a former U.S. Navy soldier, claimed he has every right to criticise the leaders of the country.

“I don’t want anyone to mention patriotism when I make statements about our country,” Ventura said.

The real issue which has made Ventura so angry is that whilst he and his brother served in Southeast Asia for 17 months, Trump was “running away like a coward”.

Trump famously avoided being drafted into Vietnam after receiving 5 deferments between 1968 to 1972. He received a medical exemption due to bone spurs. Ventura said “Well that’s fine! It didn’t stop him playing golf!”

Ventura joked about Trump’s ego and asked how he could be able to lead as a general when he didn’t serve. “If he’s that smart like a general I would ask him today. Donald we could have won!”

When Ventura was talking about the current conflicts with foreign countries such as Iran, he claimed that the U.S. could have avoided all the conflict.

“We wouldn’t have gone through all of this if Donald Trump had actually had some guts and went to Vietnam.”

Finally he summed up by saying “He would have known what Jesse Ventura knows. You don’t go into a 4000 year old country and bomb them!”
