I'm getting a feel for Zig 😄 It's close enough to C that I'm not in completely unfamiliar territory, and can get away with looking things up as I poke around and try to make things work.
One fun thing is that there's no concept of C-style headers (afaict), so a struct that I defined that needed to be used in both my executable and in my library couldn't be imported into both, I had to import it into the library and then import it into the executable via the library import. This messed with my head a bit, when coming from Clojure and the awesome power of cljc files!
Since my last attempt at implementing my synth project I've gotten much more familiar with functional programming, so I have some exciting ideas about how to architecture things this time around.
