@AutisticInnovator I feel this is true across the board with any possible discipline in existence. Though, for me, as an Au/ADHD person, who only discovered this 10 years ago - the 30 years I have lived before this requiring trial an error, trying to fit in, from what I could understand from observation and analyzing all the details to work out the whole. That skill I mastered is absolutely transferable in understanding other things. You have also most certainly developed that skill also...
