#weeklyreview 40/2026
Week 40 started on Sunday with nice weather and tour in countryside “hunting” for food. Our favourite little restaurant in Flieth was unfortunately fully occupied. So we headed to Prenzlau and had lunch at the nice Ucka Amore.
On the sunny lakeside terrace we enjoyed solid Italian dished and probably one of the last late summer weekends.

Back in Berlin K3 and me felt fancy and decided for an impromptu New York Cheese case baking.

Also to celebrate that our super annoying tenant finally was moving out on Wednesday. I was afraid she’d drag that out … but fortunately she really moved out.
Bunch of gym sessions in the office. On Thursday 1,5h actually. My trusty Garmin Fenix 5 doesn’t want to sync with my phone anymore. So now I have to download the activities via my Linux machine and then upload to the Garmin website … slightly annoying but manageable.

On Saturday Kiddo joined my on the #project25 construction site to rip out the first layer of tiles from the hallway and kitchen. We also removed the GDR drywall (“Sauerkrautplatten” in slang). Dusty endeavour.
