#project25 updates
more wrecking done in the living room and former bedroom. Got all the floor material out down to the cellar ceiling. Apparently so-called “Stolte Dielen” – a famous GDR way to build ceiling from hollow concrete blocks.
Also opened up the floor in the remain rooms where there are still the floor tiles in to check the composition of the floor. Will need to get all the tiles out down to the ground plate to start rebuilding the floor for the floor heating system.
Also in the former bedroom I had to remove all the plaster from the inner walls as those need to come off. This room was the first and initial bungalow on the property. It’s only one brick thick instead of 2 bricks as the rest of the house. The rest of the house was built later and thus to original bungalow room was reinforced and insulated with “Sauerkrautplatten” and plaster.

plums
Got 3kg of plums from my parents and another bucket of tomatoes. The latter of course got cooked down to tomato sauce again. From the plums I made our signature plum strudel with almond-cinnamon crumble inside. Super delicious. Recipe can be found here.
Devoured one strudel myself and gifted the other one to my sister in law for her birthday. The third one I took over for dinner to my friend L.

speaking of dinner … two nights out this week. Tuesday for the birthday party and Wednesday at L’s.
Saturday evening we went to a nice little concert at the MKC Templin. The “Club der toten Dichter” played “Galgenlieder” from German poet Christian Morgenstern. While most of the lyrics was not my style (he’s famous for nonsense style poetry), except for the Werwolf song, the adaptation and music totally made up for it. The main singer is a famous German actor and I was surprised/impressed how many instruments he also played.

SSO
Thanks to @moellus I finally got around to play with Keycloak IDP. Connected Chatto to it for plays and now contemplating whether I actually need SSO.
Having only one account to maintain for various services is certainly nice. But it also makes the IDP the single point of failure. I also don’t have that large of a user base that it would make much sense. So the only good reason left is “because I can” … the usual nerd excuse.
