Week started ambitious with strength training in the gym. Tuesday evening I went to the “Ming Dynasty” restaurant for dinner with @thinkberg.

That was delicious and fun. I was very surprised about the German language skills of the staff (supposedly native Chinese people). Their German was better than most of german natives. No accent, funny …

A hand with a painted thumbnail holds a narrow white paper strip against a dark background, printed with the German text "Bald erreichst Du die Perfektion."

On Thursday I finally got around to make tomato sauce from the bucket of tomatoes I got from my parents. The whole bucket was cooked down to a large jar of delicious sauce. Let’s see how long this will last.

On Friday evening our village society had organised a live concert of Dominic Merten. We’ve seen him perform several times before in Templin and really love his performance.

Even in the acoustically not optimal church of the village he delivered. So much so that the audience was singing and dancing along. Mostly retired Germans … singing and dancing. If you know germans … that is no small feat.

On Saturday we continued work in #project25. Ripping out the floor in the living room and peeling off the old wall paper. slowly but surely it’s coming together. The trusty Leatherman helped cutting out the decks around the heating pipes.

A long silver metal level rests horizontally on a raw concrete floor in an unfinished space, with its bubble vial visible near the center and a thick concrete seam running alongside it.
A concrete floor in an unfinished room with parallel grooves cut into it, some fitted with metal tracks and two metal bars lying in the slots, with a wooden-framed window on the left wall.
A disorganized heap of long, weathered wooden planks and lumber scraps lies on a grey paved patio beside a house wall and dense evergreen foliage. Cardboard, a pair of green work gloves, and a mug are visible among the debris near the building's edge.
