Just got a "Notice of Risk of Redundancy" and not liking my odds so I'm looking for new jobs, so...

Hi, I'm a senior software engineer based around Manchester, specializing in low(er) level code (firmware, drivers, backend servers), and comfortable with Rust, C/C++, Python, Typescript, Javascript. I've been programming for over 10 years at this point, picking it up first as a hobby, and then pursuing it through uni and then taking it up as a career.

I've written implementations of IEC specs from scratch; I've created FFIs that properly blend into the target language; I've built services that can handle readings from millions of endpoints a day and are still expanding; all while ensuring that the code remains approachable to new developers.

Currently looking for a new senior software role in the UK, focusing primarily on server infra, backends, driver development, or firmware development. I can comfortably work remote and can travel on occasion if needed, though I'd prefer a hybrid or flexible on-site role in the Greater Manchester area.
