Recursive Claw Machine Is recursive

Someone has been leaving arcade-style claw machines on street corners in the Mission lately, and I’ve been wondering where they came from. They’re all in pretty good condition, and some still have money in the coin box!

A Mastodon post from Sean Kleefeld that says "They're being dropped off by the claw machine fairy. Obviously. 😁"

A friend on Mastodon suggested it might be the work of a Claw Machine Fairy, which inspired my newest drawing.

A pink and blue drawing of a man playing an arcade claw machine. He is operating the joystick and we can see the claw machine is picking up a smaller claw machine (surrounded by other small claw machines). Behind the man, you can see a silhouette of a large claw reaching towards him. The man looks like me, Doc Pop. A white guy in his fourties with a beard and glasses. He is focused very intently on playing the claw game and doesn’t notice the giant claw.

TBH, the drawing started with a long claw machine arm dangling down from the tiny wings from a fairy, but that was just a little too, uh, phallic. So the drawing eventually morphed into me playing a claw machine to grab another claw machine while a third claw machine is about to grab me.

I feel like I just replaced one dick with another.

An arcade claw machine left on the sidewalk. No toys in it, but it’s still in good condition with the modern and coin collector inside. The title says “Super Toys”.
