@hund You can run Immich on your server or NAS 😀

Jokes aside, have you looked through https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/List_of_applications/Multimedia#Image_organizers ?

@hund I installed Immich as a Docker image on my Linux-PC at home. I had no experience with Docker before, but it was quite easy to install with some guide from the internet. The performance on a five year old computer with an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G processor is amazing. There are 67500 photos right now in the database.

If you find one, I'd love to know about it. I have been going along with Shotwell for years and it's okay, but a bit clunky.

@hund what are your requirements? i should organize my photo archive too. unlike you, i'm fine with nas (on lan, that i can mount locally), but avoid databases for such tasks. i only have gwenview installed, but i might have to get rid of it (with kde/plasma, at some point). so… i'm curious, too, about some simpler but focussed apps.

How do you like Digikam? The tagging tools seem better than Shotwell.
