With more and more of the web becoming inaccessible, I started asking other people in my life, and sometimes online. It isn't free, as I have to pay people back for helping me one way or another, or they would view me as a nuisance over time, but it seems to be working out okay so far. That and books and manuals when available, experimentation, and a massive pinch of "I don't really need this, so fuck it". For reddit specifically, I try opening it in tor, and using one of the alternative libreddit front ends, but mostly I just don't visit reddit anymore. I hope you find what you're looking for.
