So, it has happened. I've got Claude license from my workplace…
I've already told that it will never touch any production code I'm responsible for and my boss agreed. But I was asked to check if I can use it to other tasks before I'm allowed to resign from using it and cancel my license.
But IMHO there is no ethical use of this tool… But wasting tokens and all that water and electricity, just to lie that I checked it and I don't like it is not my style. Both waste and lying. I'm also a little bit scared that when I'll be too reluctant, I'll be forced to use it in way I don't want to.
So, now I'm in dire need some ideas for less unethical ways to check it before telling my boss I don't want it. I need them to sound reasonable, do not rot my brain and don't make me feel like dirty rag.
My first idea is to make it my English tutor to up my grammar game a little bit. It is language model, so it should be able to do it, and it is not a total waste, if I would be able to learn something. Am I right?
EDIT: unethical → ethical
EDIT2: workspace → workplace
