Biblical Proportions
The total content on this blog as exceeded the length of the King James Bible! As a txt document, the bible is 4,638,061 characters, while the blog at this point is 5,458,560 characters across 177 posts! Let's look at some statistics:
Longest Post: Television Antihero Deathmatch Finals (168,123 characters). This one ended up being a lot longer than anticipated, and in retrospect probably should've been broken into several smaller posts.
Longest Post Series: Starcraft Co. is still the reigning champion with 904,866 characters, representing 16.6% percent of the blog. Here are some of the other contenders ranked by percentage of total writing for the blog:
Television Antihero Deathmatch: 13.2% Inbetweeners: 10.5% What If: 9.5% The Blue Monkey Story II: 8.3%
Long term is still think Inbetweeners will win out, but the What If series has a lot of potential and each post can be extremely detailed depending on how far I want to dig into the butterfly effect from different outcomes. Blue Monkey Story II I'm still undecided about how long that will be, so it is another one with potential. Television Antihero Deathmatch and Starcraft Co. are finished so over time their relative percentages should drop.
Going forward I have a lot more planned. So we need a new target to try to beat. I'm thinking the OJ Trial Complete transcript. That is roughly 8 times the length of the King James Bible, so it will be quite a while... if ever that I surpass it. Considering it is a nine month trial involving hundreds of witnesses, the OJ Trial transcript may be a bridge too far. But, I do have a lot in the pipeline so we will see!
