It's Oct 27. A huge sigh of relief hit the air when I checked my Social Security debit card number/hotline and saw I have $994 pending for Oct 30 (Friday). Things will be easier then.

For now I prop myself under a sycamour tree. Overcast sky but low chance of rain. I config ctrlnix.quxnet.net some more, a big Thank You to basilmori for the ^nix header, and arrange more things in the official Doc for the service (meta, general log of changes, accreditation, etc).

The neighborhood is creepy, in a Hallow's Eve/good way. Elaborate yard displays all over. Bizarre lighting along the street. Suburbia in Autumn; like the intro theme to The Wonder Years but with Satan.

I walk the dim street at night. Fetching a final cup of hot water for thermos-brewed coffee in the new dusk. Flashlight on-the-ready expecting racoons to get curious, and then scaring them off by stealing their night vision (flashlight). Sometimes young deer wander from their mother, spotting me, staring a long while, pattering off after a bit. Coffee steaming and energizing all the while, lurking the evening exchanges on #linux IRC. After a time, I decide what a good hour to charge my phone at the local park would be.

This the nightly routine

It's 1:26 PM. So now I just see the century-old headstones in the light of day. Thinking of the budget and the frugal approach to it. (Very happy with where it's at, no superfluous purchase this month). Readying for a walk to Casey's General Store for more hot water/coffee, awaiting the clouds to clear out to give way to cooler temps and star-adourned skies
