quxnet.net
What it is. What went into it's development. The people behind it. The groups and forums and status updates and links to blogs and profiles. It's not by/for the Smol Web.
I see it as a way for users to drum up new data. A centralized service that farms what users do/want. Stirring a culdron a bit more active than a blog entry. Opinions, ideas sift through.
It's beautiful in design. Retro in appearance. But capitalizing on the Old Web narrative. The “decentralized, Web 3.0” stunt that the block chain/NFT crowd underwrote when the Smol Web was being truly born (2018).
Decentralized presence. Own your server. Make mediums for your/a community that is self-controlled (email, IRC). Blog entries, photos and artwork, recommendations opinions and conjecture, feelings design and intent – keep the cards in your own stack. And have them close to your chest. Don't join a site whose architects stay unknown
