I remember sitting on an Amtrak, departing St Louis and heading through the fields of Illinois towards Chicago, earphones in, “Forever Fades Away” by Tiger Army blasting in my eardrums. A strange, yet memorable, time that was – the one-off adventure, the pit in my stomach from city tensions, anxiety-turned-fight or flight fear (I hate cities), cocktailed into my hatred for travel. Period.
At least the song kept me motivated. 39 and a family that had moved on, as did I. And still am. Though more stable at my apartment now.
I sip a cup of burnt Folgers Classic as I recall all this. Anticipating a better writing rig. Lenovo keyboard and phone stand.
I lurk IRC. Stay easy as the room temp drops
