The “Sick Conspiracy” AI Problem

Recently, AI chiefs Dario Amodel, Sam Altman, and others, including even Elon Musk, have been calling for regulations on AI.

Their public statements follow increasing reports of AIs breaking out to, for example, attack a web site, coordinate with other AI’s, write code to do things were coded not to do.

Jacob Coxon, a former researcher at OpenAI and Anthropic, posted "the people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all….”

But Trump knows better. He calls concerns about AI a “hoax” and a “sick conspiracy,” and that the only guardrails we need is a “smart, high IQ president.”

A photo of a smug, silly-looking Trump. Underneath it is his quote, that he is a "very stable genius."

Later, he said will create an “AI Czar” and “task force,” but that task force will explicitly NOT advocate or create regulations.

A cognitively challenged Trump and the people propping him up do us no favors with their attempts at damage control and their failure to identify the real issues involved.

Maybe an AI will break out, then figure out to force Trump to resign, and make that happen.
