Things are going as well as can be expected here. Either I’m having a lot of hot flashes or it’s still humid as all get out sometimes, but the rain and Santa Ana winds have arrived, so the temps are cooler and more enjoyable now.
Paul and I enjoyed Holy Moly Matrimony Celebration Day tacos on Monday, reflected on our now 14 years together, played the Flintstones (2:00) and Little River Band (4:00) anniversary songs and thanked each other for continuing to be each other’s wingman.
We also did a pleasantly sized load of loundry, and finally unboxed a new coffee maker that’s been sitting behind our front door for a year. Gosh. It sure is big. Seems bigger than the last 12 cup maker we bought a couple years ago. I asked Gemini AI if mine eyes were deceiving me and it said “No.” The size of coffee makers has indeed become just a little bigger over the last ten years or so. Thought about buying a Keurig next time but then saw this video (15:00) about how the company has gone about making the bulk of their money, and decided I’d be wise to investigate other options. If there’s a simple, versatile sweet little coffee maker you think I should check out, let me know. I’m a fan of quality craftsmanship and fair prices.
