Hi blog friends!
Hope this update is finding you well. Let me know how you’re doing in the comments or via message or email. Link at the bottom of this post. If it helps – how do you feel about fried artichoke hearts? Do you like them? I had some for the first time yesterday, and am now a fan.
My body and I are coming up for a little bit of welcomed fresh air after a rough few weeks. The summer heat was really rough on us and kept us down doing nothing but sitting at our kitchen table sipping warm cups of coffee with extra milk, watching YouTube videos and taking care of the basic basics when windows of energy and opportunity allowed. I’ve really been enjoying watching Adam The Woo’s sister Faith and her husband Ryan’s trip through New England. I also enjoyed the Wizard Of Oz Museum tour they took as well. The finished restoration of Goliath, the semi truck on the original Knight Rider TV series was a neat watch too. Also – thumbs up to the flag montages Adam’s dad Jim has been incorporating into his videos. America definitely needs more of those.
Menopause has also been continuing to kick my butt. I pulled some muscles in the left side of my torso repeatedly lifting the heavy small cast iron skillet weight clopper swing away foot rests that my new power wheelchair came with. It took my body about 3 weeks to recover – and I’m still not quite recovered.
Then – the day after my birthday, I woke up and my knees and knee joints were KILLING ME – for no apparent reason. This made the small bit of crawling I still need to do at 54 feel extremely painful and difficult. And getting myself on and off the toilet and simply pulling my pants up and down when using the bathroom was out for a day. Thank God husband Paul was there and in a position to be able to help me into my wheelchair. And thank God for avocado oil capsules, ibuprofen and HRT. I have an appointment to see about getting going with some next week (OK body! I hear you! Gotta keep that estrogen on the up-and-up!) 👍
Thanks to my cousins L and L over at Cosmic Parrott for featuring my fall Cute Snails On A Rainbow Log Coloring Page in their fall themed sensory kit. Cute Snail and I appreciate the opportunity and are open to collaborating in the same or similar ways with anyone who would be interested.
That’s it! Hope to see you again sooner rather than later. Check out the new Cute Snail fall coloring book and share your finished color ups, a message or gifting story on the fall community gallery wall') if you like.
Until next time!
❤️ Juliet
