I think that a lot of cishet white men with bad opinions don't understand that they don't always get 'personality privileges' from groups who they're a danger to, so they never give people a chance to prove their assumptions wrong, you know? Like, if women and POC freeze up around you, it might be something you did, but it might also be that they just need a minute to feel like it's safe to drop their guard around you.
