Does anybody have a good way of stripping away the stickers on these stainless steel water bottles?
They've started coming apart in the dishwasher and not only do the look ugly, but bits of the stickers will stick to other things in the machine.
I'd like to strip these bottles bare and see if I can paint something on myself or put some cool decal stickers on.

anarchaeopteryx@gamepad.club 1 month ago @irgndsondepp A flat scraper of some kind and then dish soap or alcohol for the residue is usually what I do. I usually end up using a butter knife for convenience and scratch the hell out of whatever it is but there are better options...

@irgndsondepp I don't know about those stickers, but putting it in a freezer can weaken the glue, as can alcohol.
nazokiyoubinbou@urusai.social 1 month ago @irgndsondepp Well, if you're willing to do it outside (because blech) I bet ammonia would do quite a number on that material. Do a heavy mixture and it would probably wreck that material (which probably is indeed vinyl.)
