I never understood how people can find whether something is right or wrong.
I have many examples which can prove that right and wrong depends on the person and their views, either this or choosing what a large amount of people are choosing just to not be the odd one out.
Example 1 :
If you are a soldier in a war, you are fighting thinking you are protecting your family and other families. That's another point that you are also protecting people like Epstein and serial killers by fighting another country while the other party is also doing the same.
Who is wrong here?
The one who is protecting their family or you? Then if you think as a common person, they think they are doing the right thing because of this or that reason on the internet, while the other party thinks in their favour. Soo who is wrong again?
Example 2 :
If your daughter is dying and she has 1 month to live, who is 18, and there is no cure that can fix her, while she says that she loves an 80 year old man with good behaviour and a perfect body, you can say a perfect man, and wants to live the rest of her life with him.
As a father, would you let her live and get a pedophile stamp, or keep her with you for the rest of her life, maybe take her somewhere out, but she will never be happy?
Now which action is wrong and which is right here? The daughter's action to live her life or the father's action to not make him a pedophile?
Example 3 :
If there is a corrupt politician who decreases competition in the market for his son's company to grow.
It's a loss for people but a profit for the family. Who is wrong here?
Of course many people will say the politician is wrong, but they can't deny the fact that it's the right decision for him.
Many other stuff in life like:
- If abortion should be legal or not.
- Which religion is right or wrong.
- Etc...
Overall, in my experience, just like people change their opinions, beliefs, and life rules based on whether morals, the constitution, or unspoken rules are in their favour.
Just like that, right and wrong also change due to factors of a person's situation and previous actions.
It's like that Indian serial where the family of the guy did not change their opinion on kinner/transgender people until the guy's own daughter turned out to be transgender, and now everyone is in support of his wife.
