Today while going from college through the metro, an old woman took the whole area of the escalator and I just came behind her. I was waiting for her to get on it, but then suddenly a man came from behind, grabbed her arm, and got on the escalator with her.

At that moment I felt like a bad guy. When I turned my eyes to the side of the escalator, all the people on the pull-up escalator were staring at me.

Like what am I supposed to do at that moment? I am just not social enough to grab someone's hand. I did not even grab my mother's hand in my lifetime, she grabbed mine.

Then I realised that, like this instance, there are other instances throughout my life where someone comes to save someone while I am there and I am just standing there doing nothing. My mind also has nothing in it. All empty.

It's not like I don't wanna help that lady or something, but if she had just said something or created a gesture, then I would proceed. But she did nothing. How is it my fault at that point?
